Moffat Falls is a regenerative pastoral property in the New England Snowy’s. We have eco-tourism facilities for functions, fly-fishing and glamping. The property is riddled with wildlife belts, natural springs and several waterfalls. The World Heritage listed New England National Park and Cathedral Rocks National Park are right next door with beautiful bushwalking opportunities.

We are dedicated to regenerating our landscapes and communities. Regenerative agriculture has emerged as an umbrella term for any agricultural activity that restores and enhances holistic, resilient living systems. From a fully self-contained apartment to rustic cabins, you’re welcome to stay with us for your next quiet getaway, bushwalking trip or fly-fishing adventure.

Meet The Team

Our Vision

Our vision for being in this place is to deepen our relationality with the ecological and cultural living systems that form it. This is a slow process of progressive harmonisation, ecological reconciliation and co-evolution. We have identified five goals that help us remember this vision in our daily practice:

  • Remain intimately connected with, and embedded in, the significant historical, cultural and ecological patterns of this place
  • Regenerate the health and resilience of complex, living systems in ourselves, our farm landscape and bio-region
  • Foster a community of collective learning and reflection
  • Be inclusive and create accessibility to the uniqueness of this place through on-farm tourism
  • Clearly communicate and foster a regenerative culture on and off farm

Our Location

Moffat Falls is located at Point Lookout, amongst the World Heritage listed New England National Park and Cathedral Rocks National Park. The Point Lookout area consists of ancient Gondwana rainforests and is part of the Ebor Volcano, which erupted eighteen million years ago. A great deal of history and knowledge is lost to the area. However, it remains a meeting place for three Nations; Dunghutti, Gumbaynggirr and Anaiwan.

Weather

Moffat Falls enjoys very diverse weather patterns. Situated at an elevation of 1300 metres above sea level, visitors can enjoy a region of special character and a climate much cooler than the coast. It hosts cool moist winters and wet summers (warm days – cool nights).

  • Wet Summers: January mean maximum temperature of 26.7 degrees Celsius. Enjoy the comfort of low humidity and cool nights.
  • Cold moist Winters: July mean minimum temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius. Snow is not uncommon. Annual rainfall: 900mm.
