Carbon farming frames our approach to regeneration at Moffat Falls, through holistic management we utilise our grazing animals as a carbon sink. There are many accommodation options available on the property to experience our carbon drawdown first-hand. View our accommodation options here.
Holistic management (HM) is a decision making framework that helps farmers manage complexity, and ensures that livestock behave as if predators were also part of agricultural systems. This means, instead of spreading out and remaining in one place, livestock bunch together and move on quickly. This disturbs the ground enough to stimulate it, but also allows plenty of time for pasture and soil rest. This (or similar) approaches are used to improve the fertility, biodiversity, carbon and moisture retention of soil. Such management achieves outcomes for conservation as well as production.
